2.3.2 updates

Hi, I many have already sent you an update, but I've made some more changes, as the query matching regexp didn't work properly in 2.3.
Generally, this does away with explicit use of MemCache and local cache in favor of Rails.cache. This creates fewer dependencies on other gems and works well with the Rails.cache memory cache strategy.
